Their fantasies about treasure, women, pirates and robbers come to life as they agree to this oath. This quote represents how childish all of the boys are. Robbing and murdering is a very serious subject and it is far from glamorous. All of the boys become excited at the thought of the adventures they will encounter as robbers. Miss Watson encourages Huck to pray and to do good things for others and nothing for himself.
